Medical Director: Dr. Gurmander S. Kohli, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Gurmander Singh Kohli is a dedicated, seasoned Plastic Surgeon with 28 years of experience and continuing interest in cutting edge technologies. He specializes in rhinoplasty and other plastic surgeries requiring precise and subtle skills. Previously Medical Director of Loma Linda University’s Surgery Center in Riverside and associate professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery with strong background in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, medical education and mentoring. Compassion and commitment to patients demonstrated by a medical mission to Malawi and six trips to Lithuania to perform life-changing operations and train less advantaged surgeons. Dr. Kohli is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He also holds memberships in the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Inc.; the Massachusetts Society of Plastic Surgery; the Lipoplasty Society of North America; the General Medical Council, U.K.; the Massachusetts Medical Society and the International Medical Foundation.

He received his M.D. degree from the University of Glasgow School of Medicine, Scotland, U.K., and served his residencies at The Glasgow Western Infirmary, The Glasgow Royal Infirmary, The London Charing Cross Hospital and at the Malden Hospital, Malden, Massachusetts. He completed further training in general surgery at The Boston University Hospital & Medical Center (now The Boston Medical Center) and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The Boston University Hospital & Medical Center (now The Boston Medical Center) Boston, Massachusetts.

Prior to relocating to California 6 years ago, Dr. Kohli lived in Boston for 35 years, where he was in private practice for 23 years. Dr. Kohli was been the Chief of Plastic Surgery at three Boston area hospitals. He was also the Founder and Medical Director of “The Center for Plastic Surgery and Personal Development” at the Boston Regional Medical Center.

Acupuncture / Reiki :: Dr. Mei-Chi Fu, O.M.D. L.Ac.

Dr. Mei-Chi Fu is a Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, an Herbalist, and a Diplomate of the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists. She is also certified in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal and is a Reiki Master.

Having grown up in a Chinese culture, Dr. Fu has been familiar with acupuncture and herbs since childhood and has always been attuned to the benefits of Eastern medicine and its effectiveness in treating common illnesses. Dr. Fu graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine and then pursued her Master and Doctorate in Oriental Medicine at South Baylo University.

Treating the patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual health is Dr. Fu’s goal. She believes that when all three are in balance, the body will thrive and fend off many diseases and disorders. When the body is healthy within, one's entire well being will be enhanced.

Karen Brandeis, RN, Aesthetic Specialist

Karen is a Licensed Registered Nurse who brings over 3 years of laser and aesthetic experience to Nu Image. She graduated from the BS Nursing program at California State University Long Beach in 1993 and has worked in several areas of clinical care. She holds certifications in the application of botulinum toxin type A (e.g. Botox®), dermal fillers and cosmetic lasers and is available for consult to discuss what best fits your needs. Karen is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Nursing with a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Karen is also trained in advanced techniques in laser vein treatments, hair removal, IPL, Portrait Plasma and many more services at the Nu Image MedSpa.

KC Bradley received her Aesthetician license through Hair California’s skin care program in 2006. Since receiving her license she has worked as a Medical Aesthetician in a few medical spas in Orange County. She has been with Nu Image Medspa since April 2009. KC not only specializes in a wide selection of chemical peels, acne and anti-aging treatments, and eyelash extensions but she has over 5 years experience working in the cosmetic industry and can answer any questions about Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, weight loss, and much more. KC has taken many outside medical courses and attends all the new product seminars, so she can educate and customize a skin care program that fits your skins needs.
